Raised by multi-generational artists, Goldie honed her skills in pencil drawing, oil and acrylic painting, photography, digital and interior design.

Goldie developed her signature surrealist aesthetic early on with elegantly blended skylines and a bold, unique visual language. She integrates a high level of symbolism and metaphorical meaning into her work, giving each piece a strong narrative for viewers to experience.

As she builds her practice, she plans to create art meant to inspire interior design and immersive environments that excite and delight!

THE BEGINNINGS

Born and raised in Canada, Goldie has been an artist for as long as she can remember. Scaling images by age seven and painting portraits by 12. Her great grandmother was a professional artist and whether consciously or not, passed artistic traditions through the generations. Goldie's closest figures in life fostered an environment in her everyday that suggested creating art and beauty at a professional level was simply normal.

Balancing art, she competed as a provincial and multi-sport athlete in her childhood. A perfectionist in technique, spending countless hours putting in the time. She had well-found ambitions to compete in the Olympics and earn an athletic scholarship to an American University. Unfortunately, however, her plans were interrupted when she was diagnosed in her early teens with rapidly progressive scoliosis. Despite continued rigorous training, when it became evident that she had no choice but to have surgical intervention, her dreams of an athletic career were completely derailed. She had to have her spine reconstructed at age sixteen. 10.5 hour surgery, collapsed lungs, five ribs removed and metal rods inserted down either side of her spine.

A whole part of her identity stripped away in a single day.

THE CURVE BALL

STARTING OVER

Despite rehabilitating incredibly well, she imagined her athletic career had gone to the wayside so she opted to stay positive and focus on the arts.

She moved to Toronto and was asked to audition for the CFL Toronto Argonauts. She made the team and to her surprise, continued to build her on-camera resume, modelling fitness products and landing national and international commercials.

While performing on camera, she had always felt a deeper calling to create, a need that never went away, leading her to continually make exciting beautiful things; Always drawing, painting, designing and editing.

She built her creativity and aesthetic sensibility as a professional photographer, and had the good fortune of shadowing and working alongside some of the world's best cinematographers.

FINDING HER WAY IN THE ARTS

HIGH FLYING

HOLLYWOOD STUNT WOMAN

While entrenched in Film & TV she inadvertently became a Hollywood Stunt Woman.

Post surgery at 16, Goldie recalls asking the surgeon what she should avoid doing. Frightened of what limitations he would put on her, he simply said, "outside of contortionism, you will be fine" and believe it or not, he was right.

Goldie skyrocketed to become one of Canada's leading Stunt Women; Stunt doubling lead actresses on action shows such as; The Umbrella Academy, The Expanse, Suicide Squad, Dark Matter, Designated Survivor, Ransom, Star Trek and over 80 Tv shows and films.

She was always honest with co-ordinators about her condition and promised herself to never accept a job outside of what her body could physically do (which meant, no stair falls).

Despite loving the career, the adrenaline, performing with precision under intense pressure, and working with some of 'Hollywood's' best, the potential fragility of her body always loomed in the back of her mind. The threat of it ever present, especially as she'd witness her aging colleagues hobble through movie sets while waiting for replacement body parts.

While never a stranger to 70 Hr work weeks, given the intensity of TV and film schedules, she began directing more of her time to the arts and graduated from the Interior Design Institute.

GOLDIE's MUSEUM

In 2022, while still balancing a television career, Goldie developed an immersive art venue concept called Goldie's Museum. A 3000sq ft dreamy, purpose built photo-op venue for 'it' girlies and bachelorettes to escape reality and spend time in "girl heaven" while sipping Mimosas.

Goldie's Museum was her proving ground, an in-practice MBA. She learned that she could conceive and flawlessly execute a successful high-concept business model. She could build something so exciting and immersive that people would travel from afar, organize, co-ordinate and purchase attire in advance to match the aesthetic and participate in her work. And most importantly she learned that her art had the power to inspire and fill people with joy!

After three years, she felt she had built a dream business... a gorgeous facility, amazing clients, great workflow, impressive margins, incredible client satisfaction and retention... all while maintaining a 5.0 rating on Google... and while investors clamoured to collaborate and buy in, she sought something deeper, more meaningful and ultimately more creative. She was ready to move on and spread her wings for the next level... keeping her brand pristine, well-respected, and completely her own.

Prepared to dive deep, put in the work and fly, Goldie imagined and defined what art success looked like to her. The type art she wanted to create, the type of partnerships she'd like to form, and the legacy she'd like to build.

Her goal with 'Le Reve a la Mode' was to create a completely unique visual language... A body of work that is undeniably her and art that engages the viewers and speaks in layers and metaphors as deep as the minds of those viewing them.

As she blooms into a booming artist, her boundless creativity and entrepreneurial firepower will take her to the ends of the earth, creating, evolving, building.
